Maybe You Found Inspiration?

This was a nice song, very overwhelming. Songs like this can always use a good chime/epic bell and a crazy choir of monks. What plug-ins did you use for this btw? Im going to guess Orchestral and Plucked! and maybe some Sounfont? I'm probably way off but I like to guess anyway.

Good submission, keep it coming! I hadn't heard any of your stuff in a while so I thought I would see what you've been working on, I have to say it...It is some good work.

See you around

Definitly Original

I liked it the quality of some of the samples sound pretty bad. I think that was intentional though. It sounds like you really poured on the distortion. Something that really caught my attention was that gated lead. It had a very bazaar feel to it, in a good way of coarse. I liked that back ground soft synth too, the one that plays through the whole track pretty much. At parts to it sounds like there are foot steps, I don't know if that is just me or maybe those are the footsteps going towards the sandwich...

Some tips for future songs...for your drums beats try using some ride cymbals/or more cymbal work at parts and other high-mid frequencies to go along with the drums. And in this song since distortion seems to be the main theme here you would probably want to put distortion on that to. Try to some variations too. Maybe throw in some more ghost notes and once that's done maybe a compressor to top it off.

Ha, seriously though that title is original. Good stuff, its a shame that it is rated so low. The syths felt like they were from another world! Keep it up, I will be back to hear more of your stuff.

Thanks mate, cheers for the advice! I agree the cymbalness is missing a bit too, not like in my other tracks.
Thanks for the interest too, I very much enjoy reading reviews of my stuff and replying =]
Cool, 5/5 nice one =D
It was very deliberately distorted, and there where actually 3 separate drum patterns going at one point. I think maybe I over crowded the song a bit, but like i said, not my best ever xD. Anyway I'm glad you enjoyed it =] Looking forward to more reviews like this!

Sweet...

It says "on the darkside" but this sounds like a happy song. I guess I would be happy too if I made a song this kick ass. You've made a very very powerful song here and I don't know if I will ever get enough of this. Great progressions and coll FX on your vocal tracks and such. Nothing negetive to say about the track though. Great job! keep up the work.

gotta support a fellow FL user, Do you master and everything in FL? if you do then I really tip the hat to you.

Krussi responds:

Yeah, I'm aware of that it says "on the darkside", but I thought Darkside fitted more as a title :P Glad you liked it :P and I'm flattered by those kind words ^^

Yes I master everything in FL, I mix some of it by hand and I use compressors to make the sound a little clearer :P

Thanks alot for the review, the awesome score and your support :D

Hmmm...

Well this isn't really my genre but I can tell that there needs to be some work done on your hats, kicks, snares, etc. Like DjLyc0sa said try using some more filters on your drums. maybe some drive/distortion on your claps and snares can bring them out more. try using some compressors too. The song itself though is arranged nicely and the riffs and progressions are epic. sounds kind like VG progressions love it though. Thanks for the submission.

Okay, I'll work on my effects and instruments. Thanks for the review!

Nice...

Sounds deep, I just hope you don't attract any whales. That is something that you probably don't want in you computer room. what Vst/Vsti's did you use? Do I smell Absynth? nice song though, 0 bombers suck, but as long as you like the song that's all that matters.

SyntheticProsthetic responds:

Hey, thanks!

I actually made this quite a while ago, before I really used advanced VSTIs. I just used a bunch of samples. I had a choir sample, some little sonar beeps, and I used 3xOsc for a lot of the droning. A lot of delay, reverb, and flanging/phasing is what really made the piece, I think. I'm glad you liked the song.

Sigh...

I didn't like you at first because you seemed fake, and posing as a girl was kind of weird. But now that the joke is over and your starting to show your colors. I can say that I have been a fan from the start and you got some crazy shit going on here. that lead is so SICK! its ridiculous! love this think your other stuff is prime as well. keep on submitting these awesome tracks.

oh I almost forgot to say something useful...uhh, maybe some more hat work? w/e sounds good man keep it up.

Kazmo responds:

Well, I'm not fake, just so you know. You obviously don't read many posts in the audio forums...or else you'd know why I was "posing as a girl".

Yes, the joke is over!! :D My true colours were always showing... :[

YAY FAN!

Will look into that hatwork. :]

Thanks for the review and support!!!!

Great Job!

Really blew me away with this one. I mean really, good job. The vocal track is what really surprised me because I don't think I have ever heard vocals like this in any of your songs. I hear you brought that guitar back to, it sounds good, and please tell me that isn't slayer (I guess it isn't bad if it is because it actually does sound good) This song really reflected your style though, and I am glad to hear another song like this by you. There are so many good things about this song and so few bad things. The only advice I can give you is to keep on making good songs.

NemesisTheory responds:

Nope you're right, haha
I've only recently started trying out vocals in tracks and it seems it really helps lift everything up more... i guess i can't sing but I can do simple vocal notes pretty well at least!

and dont worry, it's not slayer. it's a VST guitar that I sampled through another bunch of VST's to make it sound more real. i suppose it's pretty decent :)

I'll take your advice by heart by the way :)

thanks for the scores and review, mark!

Nice...

I really did like everything that I heard in this song. Progressions sounded good and the riffs agreed and complimented each other nicely. The only thing that stuck out a little to much to me was the bass, or at least at parts it did. I don't know if you changed the levels or it is just because of thew frequency the wave is oscillating at when that note is struck. either way though it is something that can easily be fixed in whatever program it is you use to master.

keep on getting better, keep on submitting and I;ll keep on listening. thank you for the submission and keep it up.

Triented responds:

Mastering the bass in a song is such a pain in the neck! I always try my hardest to keep that sound fulfilling, yet under 0 Decibles.
Thanks for the review! :]

Uhh...

This isn't even close to drum and bass...

The song isn't to bad though, I rally liked the hard-style types of progressions and leads, that and the wav files used here. The title seems to fit the song to.

On the constructive side...This song still requires a lot of work. If you did want to make this a drum and bass song the first thing that you are going to have to do is throw out that dance kick (One of the main things that pulls this away from the DnB genre) You are also going to have to master this differently. with drum and bass songs you generally want to have the drums as the dominant part of your song. while there are sub-genres of drum and bass that do focus on other elements, examples: Trancestep-leads, darkstep-synths and rhythms... The all have drums at a level where they can be distinguished. So don't be afraid to turn up those drums.

you definitely need to turn down some of your tracks as well because you are getting clippings all over the place, maybe its my good system that is picking that up, but try and up the quality or getting a better sound card maybe if you can't find another way to fix that.

the rhythm to this song definitely has a dance feels to it. the closest thing that I could relate this to would be gabber, hardstyle, maybe, and I mean maybe IDM. But little to none on the idm part because that is actually starting to get into drum and bass territory.

On the whole I see this as an average to sub-par song. But don't let that discourage you because I know that you can do better. So, lets so some good work and good luck.

PS: you might want to put this into another genre because people will down vote on this.

Tx-Maniac-xT responds:

Thanks for the help bro. Lol, after studying up on Drum and Bass I realized the only thing in here that fit that was the bass synth. I'm gunna switch it. Again, thanks for the help.

Shhh...

We need to find a way to take down paragonx9, her minions down vote the DnB genre. We share a common goal...If we Keep up the good work we will be able to take her down while she isn't looking.

This message will explode in 10 seconds...

axeFX responds:

First of all, Paragons a dude not a chick. Second, me-sa wanna me-sa wanna me-sa wanna cum

It's made with bits of REAL panther, so you know it's good...
