I've never read Northlanders but I loved Y The Last Man. A couple of my other favorite comics are Sandman and Preacher. Both are published by vertigo and somewhat dark. Another good one is Fables, I think Fables is still being published though.
It's made with bits of REAL panther, so you know it's good...

Ah Man! If you like violence, deep plots for revenge, and amazing art then you'll like Northlanders. I was thinking about checking out fables cause I have heard only good things about it, its about fairytale creatures though, so it just felt weird at the time. Sandman looked pretty cool too but I never checked it out I'll have to find some copies of Preacher and Sandman.

Well i know a very good comic in my opinion. Is the WatchMen i know i know. There is a movie already but the comic is worth the read!!
Watchmen was good, that's the comic that pretty much got me hooked. I was sad how things turned out for my dear friend Rorschach though :'(

Well, I don't know about you but I found that the whole one booby attached, the other one cut of and thrown in the can, to be an acquired taste. You'll grow into it...Spahaget!
